Another month has come and gone, and we’re here again to present our monthly writing challenge: The Edge of The Page.

We were ecstatic of the response we received over the last month and we can’t wait to show you and to hear your thoughts on the stories we received in November with its 5-word prompt and while we wait for them to be published and for the month’s collection to follow, we want to finalise and announce the extra special theme our lovely writers will have to follow when writing the stories you want us to read and that will be published and collected over the month of December.

Are you ready to once again put yourselves to the test and show us your passion, your abilities, and your ideas? Well then, just send us your story for our team to read and evaluate and for the chance to be published on our website!

These are still the rules:

In the following paragraphs, you’ll find the theme you need to follow, in all its shades and shapes, as inspiration for your work.

Once you’re done writing your story, you can send it to our editorial staff through the form below.

Participation requirements:

  1. The story can’t exceed 3500 words.
  2. The events of the story and the characters used must be completely original, hence not inspired by already known and existing stories.
  3. Fanfiction is, therefore, not allowed.
  4. The author retains all the rights of the material they send and will be able to use it again in the future.
  5. HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE!

This month we want to share with your the magical atmosphere of winter, and especially December, and ask you to send us your stories with the theme of winter festivities! Be it Christmas, Xmas, Yuletide, Hanukkah, Kwanza or any other celebration you would like to represent, we’re here to read and evaluate all your stories and share them with our readers!

As always, the four best stories will be published weekly over the entire month of December and then, together with all the others we receive, they will be collected in a browsable magazine we’ll distribute at the end of the month!

We’re here and ready to receive all your stories, so join our initiative right now by sending the works that will be published in the month of December through the form you can find above by the 30th of November.

This month, just like the last, we’re not asking for any specific genre of stories, you have once again full decisional freedom over what you want us and all the Vampire’s Tears followers to see!

We can’t wait to dive into the fruits of your wonderful creativity!

Happy writing, everyone.
