Anathema, recording artists of Peaceville sister label Kscope, following a phenomenal set at last weekend’s Download Festival, have announced their headline tour of the UK in September, in support of their brand new album The Optimist. They’ll be heading to Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, Exeter and London where they will be joined by be accompanied by French blackgaze pioneers Alcest.

Anathema’s eleventh full-length The Optimist was released on 9th June through Kscope, where the ambient rockers revealed some of the darkest, most challenging and unexpected music the sextet have put their name to and has garnered some incredible reviews.
Anathema recorded The Optimist in the winter of 2016 at Castle Of Doom studios in Glasgow with producer Tony Doogan [Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Super Furry Animals] at the helm and was mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.

All’inizio, mentre leggevo il tuo articolo pensavo fosse una riflessione un po’ nostalgica dei tempi che furono, invece sono rimasta molto sorpresa riguardo al fatto che si tratta di un libro. Ultimamente faccio davvero molta fatica a leggere e preferisco offrire il mio spare time al Vampire Tears con articoli musicali (mia più grande passione da sempre). Tuttavia non appena avvertirò il desiderio di leggere qualcosa, questo sarà sicuramente uno dei titoli a cui mi dedicherò. Grazie per il tuo intervento e, ovviamente, per averci suggerito una bella storia da leggere :’)
